Thank you Eloquent Studios for bringing me along to this one! It was a Filipino wedding which equals extra goofiness and fun ^^ We went to a playground and bride (with gown!) climbed the jungle gym, got on the slide, and even was pushed on the swing. Your eyes are not deceiving you - the bridal party was that big with THREE maids of honor. The guys couldn't resist the tank...oh yeah - the bride climbed that too!

An Olde Mill Wedding
What a fun, easygoing couple! Classy and whimsical, this blushing bride had the most beautiful bouquet and details. I get and old hollywood feel from some of the photos. Very romantic! xoxo
Love is in the Air
I teamed up with Eloquent Studios in Madison, NJ this summer to shoot weddings. This country style wedding was especially elegant and fun. Everyone was so tall! The bride is a basketball player and the groom was her coach! It was a hot day and the bugs were biting in the field but what a lovely scene it produced. Also, the flower girl was adorable.

These are from Alex's shoot which we did at a botanical garden in NJ. She has the biggest smile and I was excited when she pulled out her floppy sun hat. We just strolled around getting lost, literally, in the gardens. I think the photos are beautiful and free.

Summer Shoots

What did I do over the summer?? Tons of senior photos for Randolph High School students! My very talented sister, Jaclyn, and I teamed up to create Gochoco Alternative Senior Photos. Our goal was to create images that really represented each individual, rather than the generic photos that the suggested local studio produces. We wanted to capture them naturally as they are with a little bit of creative magic thrown in ;)
Here is a sample of Zoe's senior photo shoot. We went up to her horse farm where I was bombarded with friendly barn cats of every color and pattern. She rides her pony bare back and he nudges her playfully to get her attention. The barn house was strewn with old furniture and artifacts. The shoot was easygoing and natural; just a day in the country!
star sand photography
Star sand photography is both a new idea and one that has been developing (if only in my mind!) for awhile now. The name is chosen for a special type of sand found on certain beaches of southern Japan - star sand. Yes, as you might guess, the sand forms in the shape of tiny stars. It is a reminder to me that even the tiniest matter on earth can hold beauty and a little bit of mystery.
From these tiny grains of sand, comes the name of my photography, which is my art. In it, I hope you find beauty and a little bit of mystery. I seek to capture moments, small and grand, that transcend from image to person to imagination.
But I am getting ahead of myself...>< My name is Jennifer. I am a young artist, always open to discovering where the lens can take me. I love fantasy and always try to bring an element of unreality to my work. I linger in the realms of both fine art and commercial photography (weddings, portraits, etc.) and find that they quite nicely overlap. And I look forward to bringing my vision to you.
Inspiration is everywhere, even in a grain of sand...
that's all for now ^^
